At PCR counselling, my mission is to provide a safe and trusting space where individuals feel comfortable to begin the process self-exploration to help with facilitating the changes that may be needed to address some of the challenges they are experiencing. Passion, compassion and respect form the foundation of this care.
I believe in taking a client-centred approach to counselling, where I work collaboratively with my clients to identify their goals, and needs and develop a treatment plan that is unique to their experience. The client is viewed as the expert and given choice to the direction and focus in the therapeutic process.

I am a registered nurse with over twenty-five years of nursing and have spent most of my career working as an intensive care critical care nurse in a level 1 trauma center in Ottawa. I have combined my nursing background as a compliment to my work as a registered psychotherapist (qualifying), and offer a space dedicated to helping to improve the mental health and overall wellness of individuals. I have had my own journey of losses and draw on this lived experience to my work with clients who are experiencing grief and loss. I incorporate many different approaches, such as compassion-focused, existential, and narrative, with the foundation of my work being based on client-centered approach. I am trauma informed and provide a safe and supportive environment to begin the journey of meaningful change with each of my clients. I hope to work with you. Please feel free to reach out to me with any questions you may have about the therapeutic process.
Please reach us at if you cannot find an answer to your question.
PCR counsellng offers counselling services to individuals 18 years and older. My focus is working with clients with anxiety, depression, critical and chronic illness, grief, loss, compassion fatigue and burnout. As a nurse and a psychotherapist, I believe in the importance of helping those individuals who may be experiencing compassion fatigue or burnout from caring for others. I draw from my own own personal experiences as a health care provider to offer a unique approach and understanding to my work with clients facing these struggles.
